PlantCare helps people track plant care, reminders, optional plant scans, and account data controls. This policy explains what data PlantCare may collect, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

Data We Collect

PlantCare can be used locally on a device. Some cloud, account, AI scan, diagnostics, and subscription features require data to be processed by third-party services.

Account data:

• Supabase account identifier.
• Email address if the user links an email account.
• Sign in with Apple identity link if the user chooses Apple account linking.

Plant and care data:

• Plant names, rooms or locations, care schedules, reminder preferences, and care history.
• User confirmations of AI scan results.
• Local analytics events such as plant added, scan started, scan confirmed, task completed, and notification opened.

Photos:

• Photos selected by the user for Plant Scan.
• Photo metadata and related scan records when AI Scan is configured.

AI scan data:

• The selected plant photo may be uploaded to private Supabase Storage.
• A Supabase Edge Function may send the image or derived request data to an AI model provider to return possible plant matches and care tips.
